All things said and done, we voted the TP-Link Archer 7 the best buy. Not only does this device fit into the right price bracket but its features pack a punch. With the external antenna providing additional coverage and the dual-band capability the Archer 7 is great for home and office use. Even though this is not a stand-up model like the Motorola MG8702/MG7700, it has a classy finish and can be left on a shelf or mounted onto the wall with the brackets that come in the package.
As if this wasn’t enough to be excited about, the Archer 7 also links to Alexa which was a feature not found on any other model and has two USB ports where the Netgear CM500 did not have this ability. If you are looking for a modem to do gaming and streaming or to simply work off of and browse, the TP-Link is the perfect partner for you. Whilst the Arris SB8200 and SB6190 also had these capabilities, the TP-Link won our hearts over with its dual-band capability.
With the Gigablast plan available from COX who provides free installation, you can rest assured that your internet woes will be a thing of the past.
